SIMPLE BASIC TIPS FOR
MAKING A WATCHABLE MOVIE
-
Do not set out to make a
movie about dangerous/stupid stunts it won't get shown.
- If you could not get
away with showing at your school it won't work here either.
- Bounce your ideas off
of many people and listen to what they say.
- Dark scenes will not
appear well on a theater screen. Film them in dim light or
in daylight and edit
them darker.
- Overly bright white
scenes show up badly. Avoid all white backgrounds
- Do not talk too fast,
It is sometimes hard to understand. Test this on an older
person to see if they can understand what you just filmed.
- People will lose
interest in a movie if a scene drags on endlessly.
- Try to set up the
movie at the start so that the watcher can understand what
is going on from the beginning.
- Have fun with your
movie and remember you will probably not change the world
with it. Aim toward entertaining the crowd.
